SCAI: International Scientific Exchange on AI Safety
The AI development frontier has pushed forth an unprecedented need for AI safety and governance. To progress the state of sciences for AI safety, there needs to be global discussions and technical collaborations for clarity on the research landscape, priorities and gaps.
Following the inaugural Singapore Conference on AI (SCAI) in 2023, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore, supported by the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), will organise SCAI: International Scientific Exchange on AI Safety to advance technically and scientifically grounded conversations to AI Safety.
Held on 26 April 2025, this one-day Scientific Exchange will bring together 50 of the best global minds from various fields of academia, industry and government, to collectively articulate and set priorities for shaping reliable, secure and safe AI. Discussions will build on the SCAI Questions, conceptualised at the inaugural Singapore Conference on AI in 2023, and the International AI Safety Report published by United Kingdoms's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and the AI Safety Institute.
